Natural Cork’s operations in North America started in 1994. The early nineties saw the resurgence of cork flooring and the company was instrumental in promoting the category, rapidly becoming the most recognized brand in the industry. It is important to note that only the bark is peeled off to be used for cork flooring every decade. The tree itself is never felled. The bark is a vegetal tissue made by an agglomeration of dead cells filled with air and lined with alternating layers of cellulose and waxy substance called suberin.

This is the first in a series of handcrafted Veneers from Expanko. These .05mm veneer tiles are suitable for use in commercial applications and can be easily maintained for years of service. Pesca and Spinato can stand alone or combine with other Expanko Cork patterns creating unique designs never before available to the commercial flooring market.
